 The Surrey Board of Trade shares the desire to attract new investment to Surrey and to meet the needs of our existing business community. We applaud the City in adopting new and innovative job creation and investment initiatives to ensure that Surrey is top of mind when businesses are seeking to invest in this region. Together we are building British Columbia’s next great metro centre! We are building a community defined by innovative and growing companies, providing jobs and opportunities. The City’s Financial Plan is the result of its longer term vision and strategies of moving toward the development of BC’s largest city.
There are areas, as in all urban centres, that need to be continuously monitored. The presentation addresses issues in crime reduction, town centres, tax rates, transportation and the environment.
